REGISTRY

There is no greater gift than having you coming from far and wide to celebrate with us on our special day. We appreciate that as a “destination wedding” most people have travelled interstate, or from overseas, to be with us, so your attendance is truly the best gift of all.

If you feel you absolutely must give us a gift, you could make a contribution towards some artwork, as we’re saving up for a David Bromley piece. We’ll have a Wishing Well at the reception where you can place cards on the day.

OUR LOVE STORY

HOW WE MET

Joel and Tamara met in 2017 when they were working for the same company. Joel lived in Sydney, and Tamara lived in Melbourne, so they found themselves in a long distance relationship which lasted for 18 months. They both travelled a LOT during this time so they could be together, spending a collective 40% of their time interstate.

WE FELL IN LOVE

Tamara and Joel practised an open and judgement-free relationship from the very start, which allowed them to build a strong foundation of trust, and unconditional love, which deepened over time. The pivotal moment happened whilst they were on a walk through Sydney’s Royal National Park, and led to Tamara relocating to Sydney in January 2019.

THE PROPOSAL

Joel proposed to Tamara in November 2021, after the 5 month lockdown in Sydney. Joel planned a surprise night away at Sydney’s Park Hyatt, and after an amazing dinner at Aria, he proposed on the balcony of their room, singing an acoustic cover, overlooking Sydney Opera House. Tamara was so excited she screamed YES! before Joel had even got the ring out!

CAPTURED MOMENTS...

Lunch at Manly Beach

Sam and Joel have known each other since 2018 when Joel started working with Sam as a coach, and became a real confidente and support to both Joel and Tamara during a difficult time. Olly and Joel worked together in the late nineties, and again about 15 years later. Olly has great energy, and loves a laugh, usually at Joel’s expense. Jeroa is Joel’s half-brother, and lives in Perth with his partner Libby. He enjoys working out, as well as listening to live music.
